For the second year in a row, Adirondack Medical Center has been named among the nation’s “100 Great Community Hospitals” by Becker’s Hospital Review for 2015. And only two other hospitals in New York State were named to that list..
The hospitals on the list have fewer than 550 beds and minimal teaching programs. Some are located in suburban areas, but many are found in rural areas and serve as the only hospitals in their communities. Whether independent or part of a larger health system, the list includes hospitals that continually work to provide high quality care and an outstanding patient experience.

The criteria for selecting the community hospitals is based on rankings and awards from iVantage Health Analytics, Truven Health Analytics, Healthgrades and CareChex.
Adirondack Health is only one of 18 health systems to receive 4 out of 5 stars on the new CMS patient experience of care rating, and was recently named to the list of Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. by Soliant Health.
